Teen Advisory Group

What is the Teen Advisory Group?

The OFML Teen Advisory Group is teens ages 12-18 who assist the library with a number of things such as:

  • Program Development – Work with our YA Program Designer, Melissa, to create new teen programs, events and groups.
  • Teen Tech Advisor – Become a Teen Tech Advisor (14-18) and help design and write our Teen Newsletter, maintain our teen book review blog, work on our website or youtube channel, and help teach a tech class or assist patrons with technology questions.
  • YA Collection Development – Advise Melissa on book recommendations for our YA collection, write reviews for our teen book review blog, help design displays for the YA area.

You can also help out by shelving and covering books, setting up for programs or assisting with preparations for some of our children’s programs.

Participation looks great on college applications, and everything qualifies for community service hours!

Meetings are held the fourth Thursday of the month at 4:00PM.  You can get started by stopping by the library to fill out a registration form, or calling 603-269-3900 for more information.
