Contactless Curbside Pickup

*Effective 4/6 the library will be admitting patrons into the library without appointments at limited capacity. Curbside appointment hours will be reduced to Tues-Wed 10:30am-12:30pm and Thurs-Fri 12:30pm-2:30pm. For more information on our Phased Reopening Plan guidelines, click here.

Oscar Foss Memorial Library offers contactless curbside pickup. This service is by appointment only. Pickup times are Tues-Wed 10:30am-12:30pm and Thurs-Fri 12:30pm-2:30pm.

Orders must be placed by cardholders using the name that is listed on their card. If you do not have a library card and you are a Barnstead resident, you can click here to request one.

Items will be limited to 10 per appointment (DVDs, books or audio books).

You may return your items in the book drop.

We are not accepting donations of any kind at this time.

SCHEDULING A PICKUP

Step 1: Click here to schedule a pick up time. Fill out the following information:

  • Under “Choose a service” select “book pickup”
  • Choose an available day/time from the calendar
  • You can choose to create an account for future orders, or click the link to “skip login process”
  • Enter your Name (name must match the name on your library account), Email, Phone number
  • Under the “Book Order” field, please enter up to 10 items you would like to check out. Include title/author/type of material (DVD, Book, Audio). Please include a comma between each selection. You can browse our catalog to see what is available here. Please check to see if the item is listed as “IN” or “OUT”. If you aren’t sure about what you want, check out our “curbside menu” here and we can help you choose! We are doing our best to process items as quickly as possible, but if an item is checked out before we process your order, we will call you and ask if you would like a replacement item. Items will go out on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Enter your card number
  • Click “Continue”
  • Click “Book my appointment”
  • You will receive a confirmation email and a reminder shortly before your appointment.

Step 2: On the day of your appointment, you will have a 20 minute window to collect your items (for example, if you scheduled an appointment for 1pm, you can arrive between 1pm and 1:20pm.) Please do not arrive prior to your scheduled time, your items will not be available.

  • When you arrive at the library, please pull into the spot with the number that corresponds to the number you chose when booking your appointment (1,2,3 or 4). The parking spot will have a tupperware bucket with the number on top. The bucket will contain your items and your checkout slip.
  • Please retrieve your items and leave the space so the next appointment can be processed.
  • If you are unable to collect your items in the timeframe given, please call the library and let us know. We will try to reschedule your appointment for you.
  • If you do not pick up your items or contact us, we will hold them for one day and attempt to contact you before they are reshelved.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I find what items are available for check out?
– Our online catalog can be found here. If you click on an item you’re interested in and select the “holdings” tab at the top of the screen, it will tell you if the item is in or out.
How do I know if my items are ready?
– You will receive a confirmation email reminding you of your appointment time. If we are unable to fulfill any of your requests, we will contact you to let you know and offer you a replacement option.
How many items can I check out?
– At this time we are limiting items to 10 per card. These can be a combination of DVDs, books and audio books. If you have children and wish to check out additional books for them, please contact us at 603-269-3900.
Do I need a library card?
– Yes, you must have an active library account number in good standing. If you owe fines or replacement costs, you can contact us at ofmlstaff@gmail.com to arrange payment prior to placing an order.
What items are currently available for pickup?
– Books, DVDs and audio books are currently available to check out.
Is my information secure?
-The library does not release your information to third parties. Your orders are deleted once they are processed, and we email Setmore to request that they delete your information from their servers. If you prefer to order over the phone, you can do so at 603-269-3900.
