Fellow adventurers, hobbits, wizards and elves, join the Oscar Foss Memorial Library at Shirefest on Saturday, August 16th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at T.L. Storer Reservation. With plenty to see and do, you’ll find delicious food and drinks, creative activities, and thrilling adventures! This year we will also be partnering with other local libraries, Chesley Memorial in Northwood, Hill Memorial Library in Strafford, Pembroke Public Library and Epsom Public Library.
Some highlights include decorating your own sword and shield, crafting a crown or flower crown, and face painting. There will also be leatherworking, axe throwing, and archery. You can embark on an adventure through the scavenger hunt, show off your costume in a contest, and enjoy a bagpipe performance. Local vendors will also be there with unique goods. With special musical guest, Jordan Tirrell-Wysocki!
In the words of Hamfast Gamgee, “All’s well that ends better.” Keep an eye on this page, and our Facebook page @oscarfossmemoriallibrary for updates and more information!
